There is a Document Elements.dotx file there which may or may not be modifiable [1] - I don't know - but adding files to that folder doesn't make them available in the Elements It follows that doing so would make the customizations available in the Elements Gallery offerings... But this is strictly guesswork.

folder background images
A common name for one of the temp files used when you've got folder customization on. When I tried to delete it, a window appeared saying that access is denied. The only way to kill !ALL! temp files, especially in the "Temporary Internet Files" directory, is to NOT have !ANY! folder customizations. RwP.

Making custom document elements and saving in main gallery?
How do I ensure that the Picasa customizations remain when I use Picasa on my new computer? Especially, I want to keep the order of photos in the album. I see that the photo-orientation info is stored in the little Picasa txt message in the folder itself, but I'm not managing to transfer folder info.

The Customize Folder options do not seem to include this.. Anyone have a clue how to add a full window background image to XP folders? In Microsoft Windows XP, while it is still possible to set and modify a custom background image in folders, the system does not provide a Wizard to help you accomplish this.
